DURŌ Capital Plaza

Podgorica, Montenegro

DURŌ Capital Plaza

In Podgorica, a new destination has been added to the map of fine perfumery. DURŌ Capital Plaza is the latest chapter in a project launched over ten years ago thanks to the dedication of Miloš Rajović, the brand’s founder and creative director, who has brought houses such as Perfumes de Marly, Fragrance du Bois, Initio, Clive Christian, Nasomatto and Orto Parisi to Montenegro.

The concept has remained the same from the outset: perfume as a work of art and the perfumery as a gallery of carefully curated artisanal fragrances, rather than simply a shop.

Today, Capital Plaza joins the existing outlets in Porto Montenegro, Podgorica, Belgrade and Kopaonik, and the space has been designed accordingly: arches marking the route, wooden shelves, and walls displaying dozens of bottles side by side. Visitors are not simply welcomed into a shop, but guided on an olfactory journey through brands that are often still little known to the general public.

In a setting like this, every surface demands its own lighting. Wood, stone and glass react differently to a warmer or sharper beam, and every product on display needs a light source that showcases it without ever obscuring it — an even more delicate consideration in spaces where every millimetre counts.

This is the inspiration behind the lighting design, created by Intecon, based on three miniaturised products from the Nano Tini range: small in size, yet extremely high-performing. The Nano Tini miniaturised spotlights bring the wall niches to life, providing each individual item with its own independent light source. The Aria 2 display fixtures complement the open display units, directing two spotlights along the horizontal axis. The Q8 Lenti profiles, with a profile of just 8 mm, illuminate the shelves without ever taking centre stage.

Visitors entering DURŌ Capital Plaza pass through a space where light multiplies without ever losing its precision.
