Ciel Dubai Marina

Illuminating the World's Highest Vertical Landmark

Defying gravity, redefining elegance and setting a new record in the global architectural landscape: Ciel Dubai Marina is not just a hotel, it is a vertical icon soaring 377 metres into the heart of Dubai.

Officially awarded the title of World's Tallest Hotel by Guinness World Records and honoured by the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH), this 82-storey masterpiece designed by NORR Group embodies the quest for formal purity. Its sculptural silhouette, characterised by a "key" opening at the top that houses one of the world's highest infinity pools, is the result of an avant-garde engineering process that integrates vertical gardens, ventilated terraces and a glass and metal curtain wall.

DGA Light for the Ciel Dubai Marina

DGA was honoured to contribute to this monumental project, providing luminaires capable of dialoguing with such ambitious architecture, where luxury meets technical precision.

In a context of this scale, light has to fulfil a dual task: to enhance the majesty of the structures and to ensure intimate and sophisticated visual comfort for the guests of the Vignette Collection (IHG).

Hospitality and Verticality: Astro 80

The Ciel Dubai Marina experience starts with the dynamism of vertical flows. For the lift access areas, the choice fell on Astro 80. This recessed uplight was selected for its ability to mark passages discreetly and elegantly, guiding the eye upwards and emphasising the monumentality of the interior volumes. The cleanliness of its light beam defines the surfaces with extreme precision, disappearing into the minimalist design of the atrium.

The Rhythm of Columns: Ariel P IP67

The imposing columns supporting the structure required a light capable of enhancing its materiality and vertical thrust. Ariel P IP67 spotlights were selected for their high performance and weather resistance. Strategically positioned, they transform the supporting elements into pillars of light, giving depth, rhythm and a sense of assured elegance to the base of the tower.

Nature Indoor: Astro 80 IP67 Solovetro

Inside the Ciel Dubai Marina, greenery becomes an architectural element, softening the monumental volumes of the tower. Astro 80 IP67 Solovetro was chosen for the lighting of the plants: its flush design disappears into the surface, allowing the light to shape the organic forms of the vegetation without visual interference.

A New Standard of Hospitality

From the spectacular Tattu Sky Pool on the 76th floor to the refined panoramic restaurants, every detail of the Ciel Dubai Marina is designed to offer an unprecedented perspective. DGA's participation in this development confirms the company's vocation for large landmark projects, where the quality of light transforms architecture into an unforgettable experience.
