Located at 44-46 rue du Cherche-Midi, in the beating heart of one of the most fascinating and creative districts of the Rive Gauche, the new showroom is not just a showcase for the collections, but a true architectural narrative in which historical memory and contemporary vision come together.

The Genius Loci

Between art hats and creative continuity

The charm of the showroom lies deeply in the past of these historic premises. Before this major transformation, the space was in fact home to La Cerise sur le Chapeau, a famous Parisian hat shop known for its artisanal approach and vibrant use of colour.

This place holds a precious anecdote, deeply linked to DGA's DNA: it is a space that the company had already illuminated years ago, precisely on the occasion of the inauguration of the historic hat shop. A return to the origins that unites the threads of time and transforms this new opening into a perfect circle of design and emotional continuity.

The project

Respect for the pre-existing architecture

In line with a design approach that focuses on the recovery and enhancement of the historical identity of places, the showroom concept was developed respecting the original soul of the space.

The intervention wisely dialogues with the past, preserving furnishing elements with timeless charm: the large central cabinet and the characteristic period shelving have been preserved and integrated into the showroom. These historical elements now become unusual and striking displays, creating a sophisticated contrast to the minimalist lines and miniaturised technology of the DGA lighting systems.

With this new opening, DGA is not only expanding its floor space in the French capital, but also offering the community of lighting designers , architects and planners a unique place of inspiration, where light dialogues with the stories on the walls.
